Henry has a side loading gate
Good for them. The new guns have both the side loader and top loading..

Re: Henry has a side loading gate
They finally did it. I think with this development from Henry, improving conditions with Remlins, and Rossis finally hitting shelves again id say lever fans are in for a nice few years

I find it interesting that 38-55 is one of the calibers available.

Re: Henry has a side loading gate
just got on my computer and found the email from henry.
will be my next rifle purchase.
I believe they finally figured it out, that with a loading gate, they will own the lever rifle market.
business will sore, i hope.

And a 35 Rem! When these side gate rifles become available in the "Big Boy Steel" series, Marlin & Rossi are in trouble.Ohio3Wheels wrote:I find it interesting that 38-55 is one of the calibers available.

big boy steel carbine,16", in any pistol caliber, oct barrel, I will be holding out for.
Rossi better stick to making those 22s, and marlin, to whatever there doing, making expensive metal clubs?

Re: Henry has a side loading gate
Yeah, buddy! When I clicked that link, and saw that Henry had this side-loader chambered in .38-55 and .35 and of course .30-30, I came to the exact same conclusions as you guys just did!
1. Henry's will become a great, high-quality, American-made option for side-loader die-hards (like myself)
2. This may just kick off an uptick in lever gun popularity, once folks find out about this development
3. Offering .38-55 right off is awesome! And watch out Marlin, they got this in .35 Rem too!
OP, you helped start my day off with a smile - thanks for the Henry rifle news!

Now make the pistol calibers that are what really sell. And please make them with "regular" metal, not brass.
