I've often heard talk about breaking in a new gun. I couldn't tell ya, never owned a new gun till now. This one kept staring at me at the local gun store so I bought it. Rossi,s 16" lever action stainless steel 44. I guess my question is what input would anyone give me about this gun.

There is some tuning that you can do to slick them up -- check out steevesgunz.com for some info. I recently picked up a stainless 44, and it runs and shoots great. Enjoy your 44.

I got new sights. Not one for all the expensive apertures and what have ya. I like the V back sight and a small front just old fashioned. Shooting the gun is a blast and finally got her tuned like I think it should be. H110 ,imr2447 and 240 and 300 xtps the gun loves.

For new guns, I never did anything other than shoot them, but I never had a super accurate target rifle that I wanted to squeeze every bit of accuracy and life out of.

Heck, lets see some pics of it. Be interesting to see how she does. What kind of bullets you going to be working with?
