Locking lugs fell out ??
Ok,I removed the stock to flush out the action with the brake cleaner, let it dry. Worked the action a few times. Sprayed birch wood lube in the action. While do so the lugs fell right out. %@*&$. Looks to me like the cross screw or whatever it is called has no threads on it. What's the deal here ?. It's back together but I doubt they are going to stay in.

Re: Looking lugs fell out ??
There are two cross "screws". One is not threaded, and has a bite in its end. That "bite" allows the retaining screw to hold it in place and seat flush. The retaining screw is threaded. The left lug has two holes in it (one smooth, one threaded), the right lug has one hole and is not threaded.
There is nothing about removing the shoulder stock that would make the locking lugs more (or less) liable to fall out. They would have done that with, or without the stock in place.

Your right so all I need is the retaining screwed which I'm not sure where to look for one. Tried newmork or whatever it's called, found nothing. Sent Steve's gunz an email. Maybe he can help. Hopefully he can.
