All My Lever Guns
I have a weakness for lever guns. I grew up hunting but, for my dad, a serious deer rifle was 30.06 and bolt action. Autoloaders weren't reliable and lever guns were for cowboys. In all fairness most of this time was in Colorado where the mule deer were large and the shots were long. (He also considered a 12 gauge shotgun to be "unsporting".) I got a gun every Christmas and always wanted a lever gun but he wouldn't buy a "cowboy gun". Well now I buy my own guns and I have a few levers:
My Rossis are in the front row on the left. I like them all and enjoy shooting them. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Very impressive! I’m most envious of your 9422M. Do you hand load for any? I think you need to add some 92s.

Thanks. I like to swap & trade and I like lever guns so I've just picked them up as opportunity allowed. I load 30-30, 35 Rem, 45-60, 45-70, 44-40 and am gearing up for 44 magnum. The 22 Win mag is a newer acquisition. I've only had it out to the range once but it could quickly become a favorite. I've made offers on 92s but haven't managed to bring one home.

Re: All My Lever Guns
Thanks Michael - I used to have a small lease not terribly far from you, just east of Cotulla outside of Los Angeles. The place was overrun with deer though they were small (it was too small or any sort of meaningful management) I took lots of buddies down there to get their first deer.

I, also, am fixin’ to handload 44 Mag. I do 44 SPL, but just don’t shoot much 44 Mag.Phil Morris wrote:Thanks. I’ve lusted after many an old Winchester 92, but I’m not thrilled with any of the calibers. The 44-40 is as close as it comes, but it just comes up short to the 44 SPL/Mag. From what I read it’s fiddly to reload. If I run across a cheap 44 Largo, I may pick one up.
25-20 is another appealing caliber, but I’m looking for a 38/357 Rossi to convert to 256 Win Mag.

Re: All My Lever Guns
Nice collection.
You guys starting to load .44 Mag will find it quite a bit of fun but leave some components for me.
