Just a quick word of thanks to GasGuzzler for the post about Fiebings leather die for stubborn stocks. I used your method on a beechwood stock on an old Savage rifle. 3 coats of walnut stain and you couldn't tell any stain was applied. Just put on a coat of the Fiebings dark brown and it looks pretty good. Will do a second coat tomorrow. Pics when the project is done. Thanks again!
