Ok, my new 92 barrel slugged at .433. What are my options for casting & jacketed bullet reloading? I'll try the .429-200 flat round nose reloads tomorrow but I'm expecting keyholing & leading. At best, I'm hoping for paper plate size groups or "minute of deer" accuracy at 100 yds.

The Lee designs are woeful under diameter for most applications, especially in light of the latest .432" diameter you measure. I designed and sold bullets molds for the 44 Mag/444 Marlin, Lee cut them and I found a bullet in the 240 ~ 275-grain range a whitetail killer with the 44 Mag. I would want that bullet gas checked as well as the 44 Mag is a high pressure cartridge as far as cast bullets are concerned.

I would seriously consider the NOE 432-240-WFN G5. I would shoot this bullet "as cast" after verifying the diameter your alloy delivers.

I designed this bullet in three varations; 250, 275, and 300-grains. They have all shot well in my Marlins, Rossi, and Winchester. My Rossi and Winchester have .430" grooves so I size them down, but the Marlin (just sold it) had .432" grooves. I shot this buck with my Winchester M94 Timber Scout (44 Mag) at 125-yards with the referenced bullet.

What about 434-234-RF-BR2 since my bore is .433"?

You need to make a "pounding" of the chamber's throat to make sure that .433" or .434" plus the case wall thickness X 2 can chamber.

When a slug is greater than the spec, I believe you need to make a chamber pounding or cast to insure the large diameter bullet is going to work out. I have rifles with an over spec bore, but spec throat so the throat dictates what diameter is used.

You might also try this. Carefully measure the insided diameter of a freshly fired case with an inside micrometer. A caliper won't get it. Walking through pin gages would be preferable but most shooters don't have a complete set of them. The measurement will tell you how big a bullet your chamber will allow.

Got my “pounding” done today. The area between the case mouth and the rifling (throat) measures .4675” X .25” long. The groove diameter is .433”. So in your opinion, should I go for the .434” NOE mould?

Yep, the 434-234-RF-BR2 should be a nice fit.

I've got an old Iver Johnson Cattleman 44 Mag that has 0.434 cylinder throats. Bear Creek makes an oversize, 205 grain 44-40 style coated bullet that can be ordered from 0.431" to 0,438" I ordered a batch at 0.433" and they shoot great in the revolver. Just offering this as a source for folks who don't cast.
