Rossi 62 does not have any trigger travel left

Ok, so here is the trigger and hammer from the Rossi 62 pump action thingie:
Now, here is where the trigger rests with hammer in the uncocked/fired position. And here it is on the cocked position.
Not much trigger travel between the two positions. What I noticed is that I really do not have much travel at all when I pull the trigger from the cocked position. I do not mean just no overtravel, but it sometimes feels there is nowhere left for the trigger to go. As a result I can barely release the hammer from the trigger.
Thoughts?
You can see the trigger has one notch and the hammer two; I take the two notches are for the "safety" and the "full cock" positions. So far so good. Now, here is where the trigger rests with hammer in the uncocked/fired position. And here it is on the cocked position.
