Heres mine I have polished the flutes and done little else other thann shot her but love this gun. At some point I will put in a custom hammer bushing as it will rid me of the mag disconnect I hate. Not much more I really think I need to do to it.

Wow, that is a nice looking 22. I had a couple of Mark 1 Rugers that were excellent shooters and I gave them to friends/family. I think I need to revisit the Ruger Mark line. Thanks Akuser47 :D

It is dead on accurate and cheap to shoot as I am a fan of 1911 grip frames this is naturally a favorite of mine. I can shot it well.

I've got what is probably the most basic model MkIII, 5" tapered barrel. But that's what I've wanted since I was 5. A pistol that looked like a German Luger. A cousin had a toy metal Luger cap gun at that age and I lusted over it for years.

The grip frame does fit very close to my old 1911. It's a hoot to shoot and much cheaper than a real Luger.

I agree I always like the standard tappered barrel for the same reason. Same with the standard wood stock 1022 looked like an m1 carbine.

That's no coincidence. They do that to build our lust for them at a tender age until we beg or borrow enough $$ to get one. :)

I have a Mk II Target with a Volquartsen trigger and extended mag release. No real need yet for a Mk III until I wear this one out.

I have had a Ruger MKII bull barrel pistol for years.
The previous owner had reworked the trigger and did a remarkable job of it.
Most accurate 22 pistol I own.
I own a Ruger single action revolver and a 4" barrel S&W model 18 double action revolver as well as an old Colt Challenger pistol all in .22LR. The Ruger SA came with a 22WMR cylinder.
All good guns.
