I reload for all of mine.
I have used so many different powder and bullet combinations it would take 3 posts to list everything.
but for a good learning experience take a caliber like the 44 or 45 or both the 44 and 45.
start with the fastest powder you have,, something like clay's and work from the lowest to the highest load with 2 or 3 different bullet weights [I used 200 a 240 and a 250 in the 44 and 165, 200,255 and 270 in the 45] then step to the next powder, and the next, all they way up to AA's 1680.
shoot everything over a chronograph and keep your targets.
your gonna burn up a pile of lead in the process and the notes you take will open your eye's to a few things, like what powder and velocity corresponds to the sight changes the best,
the 100yd group capability's of a lever gun, and the broad range of speeds it will shoot those groups, is gonna make just about anyone a fan of the platform.
