I was at my local kitchen table ffl a little while ago. He had one of the NEW SS models on the rack. It looked good. Let's hope they get it together and makes these things. Their losing a lot of business to Marlin, Uberti and Henry.

only one of the 100 produced that is configured as a saddle . How did you get this info? I have a ss with fiberoptic s front and back. I would like to know how many of them were made.

I talked to a manager at Legacy, the outfit that Rossi made the order for.

I've seen that too but about 5-6 weeks ago I was browsing gun broker and saw a 16" Rossi 92 SS in 45 Colt listed. The address was a local gun store so I went over there. The owner said he had 2 of them-just came in. Anyhow I let the gunbroker one run out and I bought the other one. This gun has a "Made in Brazil by CBC" marking on the barrel. My other one-about 5-6 years old- has Made in Brazil by Taurus. 45 Colt isn't listed in the catalogues but apparently there may be other chamberings out there. BTW I've gone through the actions on both guns and the interior metal finishing on the new gun is quite a bit better than on my first gun. Love the gun!

CBC took over Taurus five years ago. Maybe they have decided to improve the Rossi line and started putting their name of the product?

oojoe, if you want a saddle ring you can go here and install your own.
I installed one on a 44 mag carbine, very pleased with it.

And I, too, installed an identical Beartooth Mercantile saddle ring on my .45 Colt SS 16" last year. With a single point sling, I found the carbine very easy to carry and to shoot while deer and antelope hunting.

You could sell it here, but I believe the full valve of a firearm is realized on the auction sites.
