I took mine out last weekend. It worked really well with 38sp and .357. One thing was strange, 38sp shot higher than .357, Its just the opposite with my 92s.

I handled one in 44 mag last week in sportsmans warehouse up in Lexington.
I gave it a good once over, checked barrel,mag tube sight alignment, wood to metal, action,etc.
It was perfect in every way.
Then i checked a 44 mag CB, I struggled to get the lever open, had to set it on the counter,hold secure with one hand and pry open with other, believe the price tag was $900.00

I had this exact experience a few years ago with a .44 Mag Marlin.
The lever catch was pretty much frozen in place and the lever was neigh impossible to move from or to the fully closed position.

So weird, is that a fitment issue? Lube?

I had assumed it was either a lack of fitting or dirt in the works.
I've seen sand cause that kind of hard jamming in a bolt action but in this case there should never have been anything like that in that area. So either the plunger hole wasn't milled correctly or wasn't cleaned out post milling and/or the parts were forced in anyway was my guess.

These guns are so darn easy to take apart. I swapped out the loading gate for one from ranger point. It really makes loading the 94c much easier, on the other hand, the color of this thing is mustard, its no where close to brass. I think I'll notch the stock spring and see how that works, it seems to work on the 92s.

I also added the skinner express rear sight in black an gold, a skinner brass blade front sight and a cross bolt safety delete with saddle ring from Beartooth Mercantile.

I also picked up a Taylor's and Company 5.5" .357 Smoke Wagon to match up with my Rossi 92 short rifle in Case Hardened. I'm really looking forward to shooting this one. The trigger on these tuned guns are supposed to be amazing.
