I woke up at 4:00 am and rather than go hunting, I wanted to work on my R92 357 Mag scout as I will be hunting with it next. I've shot it but did not clean it or do what I typically do. Also need to load some ammo for it.

Well, one thing led to another and I decided to see if that guy listed another blued 454 and durn if he didn't! I bought it. It was kind of a reflex reaction to the listing. I couldn't stand it yesterday that I let it get away and wasn't going to take it this morning if the opportunity presented itself. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the 454 Casull. Guess I will design a bullet and shoot it.
Congrats ! :!:

Same as mine except your gun has the pigtail (a good thing) which makes it a safer firearm.
Hope it's a shooter like mine "cleaned-up" to be after doing my Routine Rossi Regimen (stripping, cleaning, deburring, polishing, lube with quality oil) on it.
Took me 2 hours to get a 92 back together 1st. time ........now I can strip & reassemble a 92 in 20 minutes.
Doing my Routine Rossi Regimen on 3 x 92s taught me a lot about the Winchester 92 and added an order of magnitude to my respect for JMB as a gun designer.
I love that 92/454 of mine. :D

At least you'll know where to find a SS magazine follower for your new gun.

Yeah  on my shelf!. That is something that made me chuckle inside as I had bought the one marked 454/480 from SG. Disassembled my tube on the 480 Ruger by knocking the pins out, dropped the follower in and it fell right on through. Didn't even slow down until it hit the floor. There, that can explain my buying behavior... I needed a rifle to go with the follower! I like that!

Well I'm guessing he put yet another 454 on there because they are still showing the buy now button for 675. I am showing remarkable restraint here for the sake of marital bliss. Yep I don't like being addicted to anything either.. :-(
By the way congrats RD, and looking forward to a field report on the yogi hunt!

RanchDog, congrats on the excellent find. One thing I noticed on my 480 blue 20" is that the barrel is made from stainless and then colored dark blue sorta like bluing. It looks good, though not a perfect match to the bluing. Have you noticed this on your 454 or 480?

How about you other fellas?
