.459 Money Bullet 535 grain
Just wanted to show what an amazing job the Buffalo Arms Company JIM459535M3 bullet mold does. I just finished casting about 150 of them for my 45-70 Sharps. They are cast from 20-1 alloy. This bullet out of my Shiloh Sharps is awesome out to 1,000 yds. Except for the two outliers, they are all plus or minus 4/10ths of a grain!

I wouldn't be able to feed that mold for long.

Yes it uses up lead pretty fast. Fortunately I'm loading them 100 at a time not 1,000 at a time! If my math is right it took 11.5 pounds of lead for the 150 rounds I cast today. You really realize how much lead that is when you shoot 60 or 70 in one day. I finally gave in and started using a PAST recoil pad on my shoulder, not as tough as I used to be!

The spacers are actually bullet trays from Speer Gold Dot .40 Smith and Wesson ammo boxes 50 rounds ea. They just happened to be the perfect size for .45 caliber slugs.

Here I thought I might be sending more money toward BAC, but checked and they don't seem to have a "40" money bullet in .410 that I can afford. I suspect if I asked nice they would make one. Guess for now I'll stick with my Lyman and RCBS molds .
