throats

For the dog, ranch dog that is, I aim to get an RG in 45-70, have to sell jeep first. My questiion is, since I will only be shooting cast bullets, do I really need to open the throats some. and if yes, how much????????

That depends on what you want to do with it. Right now, a .458" 300-grain bullet seems like the limit for a full length (2.500") cartridge. As heavier (longer) bullets are used the OAL becomes progressively shorter as case neck swell contact makes seating a full length cartridge impossible. I have the tool to do the work on order and it will be delivered in a few weeks. Once it is here, I will know quite a bit more. I've been told by many now that this is very easy work to accomplish. I might make this tool available to others through this website with a deposit.

Heck, I would have traded you my RG4570 for that Jeep! ;)

nahhh, got to pay other bills, the jeep aint that cheap.
