I know all the octagon 92s use the same barrel blank.

the reason I ask is I'm thinking about swapping my 45 clot barrel onto another rifle, but it's a 44 mag.
I can't think of any other parts that may be different- I don't think they used a different bolt between the two...

hmmm....

so what I'm perplexitating is this: say I have a non-safety(ie. BETTER) 92 that is a 16" stainless with the large loop and saddle ring (everything I want) but in 44 mag, and I've got this garbage of a 16" stainless in 45 colt....could I swap what I needed to re-chamber the 44 to the 45?

I think it would best to buy a .45 and sell what you have.

As far as I know, Rossi made some engineering changes/improvements on the Model 92 around 2000, so potentially there could be more than just differences in the cartridge guides.

I mistyped as I do alot I meant buy a 92 in whatever chambering you like. and sell what you do not need. Prob. be cheaper going this route.
