Well, went to my gun shop and we tried to find a 56008 from one of his distributors, no luck. we have been looking every three days or so for the past two weeks .... no such luck.
But while I was there I looked at the floor rack behind the counter, and what did I see ? , an old Winchester Model 63, I asked for a look ...To my surprise it was a Taurus M63, brand new that they had in the back room for 6+ years, brought it out a few times and no body was interested so they lowered the price !
Needless to say I'm now the proud owner of that little rifle, and she is a beauty, nice wood, good wood to metal fit, a cool old style gun. What a cool little gun for plinking or squirreling ; -)
I think the Winchester M63 was brought out after the Winchesters 1909 version which I believe was chambered in .22 Auto. I think it as a Browning design and called the M3
And yes, I'll send pic ;- )
wll
I did WHAT today !
