New from ocala, fla.

Post by Billy jack »

Hello all..
I am shopping around for a rossi 45-70 and I have been enjoying reading and learning about this rifle.
I am a sig sauer hand gun owner ( p232 - p228 )
I always wanted a lever rifle and hope to add one to my collection soon.
Will post a.s.a.p.

The rio will fix that desire for you nice choice for sure keep us posted I love sigs and have had many in my time. For CCW never failed me though, I still carry a glock in most times like my G26 gen 3. I have sold and regreted selling all my sigs maybe someday I will have another again. Keep us posted to your search and purchase of your 4570.

Welcome Billy......

There are still some out there, all you have to do is find it..... keep us posted when you find one. Might be a good idea of selecting your second lever gun because after the first one comes home with you it will be like eating peanuts. You will not want to stop with just one.....

You will notice that on the auction sites, very few used Rossi's for sale. 99% are dealers selling NIB rifles.

Welcome to the forum Billy Jack.

Cursorily checked out US & CDN vendors for a Rio Grande 45-70 just out of curiosity & found 2 @ Buds stateside and 3 @ an online store Prophet River Firearms in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada within seconds. They are $699 at the CDN store  ..........they'll never get that much from me........about $200 too steep !

I have guns stored in both the USA & Canada.
Importation & exportation is a truckload of paperwork & permits so I generally keep the guns in the country I buy them in & my Canadian shotguns and rifles with 9" - 12" barrels cannot be imported into the USA though they are quite legal in Canada.

The RG 45-70s are out there.
