Re: Greetings Members!
Thank you! Forest fire smoke in the Portland, Oregon area is finally starting to dissipate. We had falling ash for the past four or five days. Parking lots have drifts of ash blowing around, and plants are coated with ash.

Welcome,
It appears that the fires in CA died down. We were getting the smoke overmountain from Burbank for a while.

Re: Greetings Members!
Hello Everyone. New member here from Georgia. I just bought a Model 92 yesterday at the Eastman Gun show in Gwinnett County. I have been searching for several months. I have been to 4-5 shows looking for a 92 or a Marlin in 357 magnum. .Since I was one of the first in line I was waiting by the gun check in table . I just happened to look behind me and a guy was taking a 92 out of the box to have it ziptied. I figured my prayers were answered.
The price was reasonable.( less than $100.00 over retail, haha) It had never been fired, he said he got it on Gunbroker ,even bought a new front site, never even installed. I did not ask why he was selling it, I just shook his hand and peeled off the money. I was smiling for a couple hours.
All the negative things I have read about the Rossi did not deter me one bit. I had read plenty of positives also. I bought 50 rounds of 158 gr plated semi-wadcutter and 100 rounds of the same in 38. That was recommended to me by the Georgia Arms salesman. Their stuff is very popular and I have loved it in semi auto handguns.
If anyone has any tips on breaking it it I am all ears. There may even be some posts on that subject already, honestly I haven't gotten that far yet.
Have a great week.

Ronman, welcome to the forum.
What a fascinating story of your find. I can appreciate simply asking no questions and handing over the money. Some deals just work out right.
You'll find all sorts of questions and answers here on this site. Congratulations on joining the Rossi ownership lot. We're generally quite satisfied with these leverguns.
Hope you have incredible fun with that 92. Keep us informed about how it works out for you. Within a couple of years, you may have another or two or three!!!
