Guys,
My rifle seems to feed OK, but can someone tell me if this is normal? A square metal tab protrudes from the face of the chamber (circled). It almost looks like something that was used in the manufacturing process which was supposed to be removed during assembly. I was ready to grind it off, but there seems to be a corresponding indentation in the bolt face that it fits into, so I left it. I'm having difficulty finding pics of other Rossi chambers for comparison. It definitely was not part of the Winchester 92s, but I realize the Rossi rifles are not exact copies too. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Apache67

Re: Is this a normal chamber?
Yes it is normal. It is the feed ramp which dovetails into the bolt face.

LOL! Ok, Ok, I'll leave it alone.
It just didn't occur to me that tiny little thing was a feed ramp. I guess I'm more used to pistol ramps that are much larger. Thanks, Guys!
