Hello. Just joining the fire. I'm 3030man, from Vermont, and am retired. I've got a couple of Rossi 92's--a 44 Magnum rifle originally marketed by EMF as the Hartford model, and a much newer 16 inch 357. I'm a caster of my own boolits, and shoot cast through both of these 92's. I handload all of my own ammo. Most of my shooting is casual plinking at my local club in Northern Vermont.

Welcome 3030man. Based on your username, any thoughts of looking into a Rio Grande?

Thanks for the welcome. Michael, I'm not really in the market for another 30-30. This old geezer has exemplars of those, in Marlin form and Winchester. Right now, I'm more fascinated by my Rossi 92's.

once you get to shooting a 92 it's hard to stop.
i once done a work-up of loads from 165 gr cast boolits up through 270 gr cast boolit in my 45 colt's, with powders ranging from clay's, 231,red-dot up through 2400, H-110,and 1680 just to do it.
i even tried some h-4895 just because.
