I completely agree. The chuck on my ancient drill press has a locking collar that pulls the chuck tightly onto the Morse taper; not many contemporary drill presses do. I just presented this as a possible alternative. I personally used the mini router table, my choice for precision work with a Dremel.

Used freehand I consider the Dremel unsuitable as a gunsmithing tool.
