Hi from New Zealand
Ex servicemen 17yrs (Armourer) Retired
Had a H&R 45/410 for many years
Left handed, so have had Win 100’s in 308 mainly, now uplifted by our government
Interested in working on and identifying single shots
Just purchased a Rossi single shot in 44 mag with reloading gear
Have several single shot Stevens

Welcome and thank you for serving your Country.

The single shots have become very thin here in the US. I had a couple of the Rossi and held them above the H&R. The actual Rossi "Single Shot" did not have interchangeable barrels, that is, the end-user changing them out. So they could have fit issues. Rossi solved that with the Wizard but never fulfilled the barrels they had cataloged (didn't get close to any selection). I owned Single Shots chambered in 7.62x39 and 44 Mag. I had a Wizard with several barrels. I took a 44 Mag barrel and rechambered it to 444 Marlin.

Welcome aboard. In the hands of a marksman...a single shot is, quite often, all that's needed.

Once I have got used to the 44 it was my intention to ream it to full length 444, using 303brit cases as 444 brass is like almost non existent/over $3 a case here.
