Just picked up a new Rossie r92 and so far, I'm pretty pleased. Haven't had a chance to fire it yet but the action is very smooth compared to new lever guns I've had in the past. One problem, though. I tried to remove the buttstock to sluice out the internals and it is so tight I can't get it off. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: New R92
They can be tight, that’s for sure! You can try and wrap multiple layers of a towel around the wrist of the stock, then gently striking to stock where the wrist becomes the cheek portion of the stock with a heavy soft mallet. Once it moves a bit, it can be pulled off, with a bit of effort.
I hope I described that in a way that makes sense…..

Re: New R92
Welcome to the family Willie !
Yes they are nice rifles / carbines compared to the price of many others. But watch out they do multiply !
I think when the stock is still wet with finish it gets slapped together.
