The new self-made rear sight...and one more...and the last
Re: The new self-made rear sight
Just made one more rear sight. The base is fixed. Apertures are changeble (here is 1.5 mm). Distance correction made by rotation of the upper part, one turn is 0.5 mm. Every 1 mm there is the line on the rod for visibility.

looks to be a great setup. How much with both a target and a hunting aperture?
Plastic has no soul...

$80 shipped. 1.5 and 2.5 mm are OK?
This is not stainless steel. I can try to blue it for additional $10 (hot in oil) , but you can do it yourself.

A quick note about these sights.... I purchased v2 of the sight and vtoran was exceptionally patient and helpful, answering questions before and after the sale. Installation was a snap, thanks to his instructions on removing the safety and installing the sight. The sight is beautifully designed and well crafted from quality materials (mine was titanium) and looks good on the gun. As far as function is concerned, it adjusts easily up and down.
As far as performance, I have mono-vision (the result of lasik surgery many years ago), and the sight just didn't work well for my eyes. I'm sure this would be a winner for anyone with normal vision looking for a rear aperture sight.

Does the sight require a taller front sight ??
Way down south in Arequipa, Peru till June 2020.

No, it can be used with factory sight. Usually I make the aperture hight 11 mm. If your rifle shoots up or down I can make other hight. You can mausure it.

Andrew, these sights look awesome! How much vertical range do you have in the adjustment of your second model? I'm going to measure to see if an 11mm aperture height would work for my rifle, but I have two loads I'm planning to shoot and I want to be sure I'd have enough adjustment to shoot either if I used your sight.
