A question about the new R92 .357 Mag I just bought
It's a 16" carbine. I heard Rossi discontinued these rifles, but I received a brand new one last week. I'm wondering if Rossi started making it again, or this is a leftover from the previous production.
I'm attaching a picture of the stamp.
I bought from Buds by the way.

Rossi had a serial number lookup on their website, but apparently, not anymore. I would say it is a previous years stock. The box might have the manufacture date or year. Also, the exact model number might be a clue as it has changed a bit.

I see, the model number is 923571613, so it's from 2017 according to the other post. Thanks a lot. The gun has no worn sign but action is smooth out of box, very happy about it.

I think it was 2017 when CBC did the acquisition.golfish wrote:Did CBC make the Rossi R92 in 2017?

If CBC made it it will be marked on the gun.

Replaced the lever with 3/4 large loop bought from Steve's. A little rough comparing to the factory lever, but looks nice.

When I found mine on Buds it was rare, now a lots of them showed up on gunbroker, a couple of the sellers got 100+ on hand, don't know what's going on.
