Deer hunting with Rossi"s
My son and I each fielded a Rossi lever for this years deer hunt. He took my Rossi .357 lever and I took my new lever in .44 mag. Open sights on both. He also took his S&W .460 but it stayed silent this year. I've had the .357 for about 5 years but have never taken it hunting. Have been using my Taurus .44 mag revolver. Anyway, my son filled both of our tags in the first 2 hours of the season. He took a doe and a spike. No wall hangers (no pics either..sorry) but will be some darn good eating. We were using hand loads in both rifles. XTP's over H110 and both were pass through on the deer. Both deer were 1 shot and down at about 75 yds. Funny thing was he shot the spike about 10 yds from where the doe was down. The .44 mag will have to wait at least another year for it's first deer.

Re: Deer hunting with Rossi"s
My .45 took a doe at 250 yards. I just pointed it and pulled the trigger. BLOOP - in one side and out the other, through the heart. Love that rifle!
