Found some stuff I didn't know I had...

Post by Archer »

Well, I knew I had some of it, but thought it was elsewhere...

I moved out to CA a couple decades ago.
Recently I was visiting back in the free world and low and behold I found some stuff that didn't make the journey out with me long ago. Some of it in fact I've looked for over the years in my bins in CA since I KNEW I had it but I either thought it had moved with me or that I had acquired it here in CA instead of before I ever moved.

A couple boxes of 175 grain Berger ELD .308 projectiles. KNEW I had these somewhere.
A box of Hornady 178 grain Match bullets (now discontinued.) KNEW I had these somewhere.
A quartet of MTM 50 count rifle ammo boxes. Forgot all about these.
About half a hundred resized and primed .30-30 cases. Thought these had made the move.
A hundred or two of those silly sub caliber sabots .224 to .308. Thought these had made the move.
A couple hundred .45 ACP loaded rounds. Thought these had been shot.
A couple hundred .30-30 reloaded rounds. Thought these had been shot.
A half a box of .38 Super ammo (I have NEVER owned a .38 Super and only shot one once or twice that belonged to a friend. Don't even remember buying this box.)
300 rounds of .22LR in the plastic boxes, Winchester HPs. (Would have thought I'd have shot these or given them away.)
50 rounds of RWS .22LR oxidizing in a sealed metal can that hadn't been opened in 30 years. I have no memory of this.
~75-92 rounds of .30-06 Ball. Thought these had been shot or that I'd given them to one of my friends before the move.
A box of .30-30 silvertip projectiles. (I thought these had all been loaded and shot up.)
An old military web 1911 magazine case with magazines in it.

Almost like Christmas.
In fact since there's no provision in CA's current law for me to be allowed to import ammo into the state without going through a dealer even if I've owned it for 30 years or even if I just drove it OUT of the state for me to bring it back in I shot some of it up and brought the brass back and I donated some of it to friends/family.

CA has got the dumbest laws and crookedest government you'd ever want to beat with a stick.

It used to be CA and maybe NJ or another one or two were the magazine restricted states.
Now it's a half a dozen plus.

The socialist keep tightening the screws and the so called pendulum never swings the other way.
