I picked up this RCBS accessory from a gun shop liquidation auction. It was in with a bunch of other stuff. What is it? There are no markings or part numbers on it other than the cast words "RCBS" and "JR." I have an RCBS Jr. press. What is this part supposed to do?

It might be a space that tilts the press away from you to give you a better view of the operation.

Yep, confirmed it with some searching. It is an Angled Wedge and serves two purposes; the first that I described, and the angle prevents the handle from dropping on an idle press.
Actually a nice purchase, they are tough to find.

Thanks, Ranch Dog. With your help and the right search terms I found this old ad linked to on castboolits.
The catalog calls it a "RCBS Wedge Block". I'll have to try it under my press and see if I like it better that way. If not I'll probably sell it on e-bay. It looks like these fetch quite a bit more than the original $1.80.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
