You might try contacting Steve's Gunz to see if he has any ideas to temporarily convert your 92 between .44 Mag - .44 Special Hunting... and .44 Special - .44 Russian Plinking configurations.
My working theory is that it would require swapping the Carrier and Cartridge Guides with modified parts for the shorter cartridges.
The Cartridge Lifter would need a longer Carrier Stop so the magazine cut-off works correctly.
The Cartridge Guides would need the Rim Clearance Grooves closer to the Breech.
That is only theory, I never actually made such a conversion.
I'm going by Winchester parts I had from Australia to convert a 30-30 Model 94 to .44 Mag.
It was a barrel, Carrier, and Cartridge Guides.
