Re: Collection Age
50%, but sample size is ridiculously small (only 2).

Re: Collection Age
About 22% of the rifles none of the pistols or shot guns. Most of that 22% is a small collection of Swedish Mausers the rest is a 1920 Lithgow 303.

On second thought...Missionary wrote:Dad got me started collecting old military muskets and flinters. Then anything WW2 and earlier. So I recon I am 75-80% before my birth.
Mike in Peru
M1 Carbine, M1 Garands, 1911 Colt, 1903 Springfield, 1917 Enfield, 1907 Savage, 1903 Colt, 1897 Winchester, S&W 17s, CZ-52s, Swede Mausers... At that point I'd have to start checking for dates of manufacture for a few others but I think it probably wouldn't be more than another 5 additional ones at present.
On the other hand a lot of my collection is stuff I KNOW was produced since my birth, especially as several of the manufacturers aren't older than I am OR didn't produce the models in question before I was born.
