Re: M92 teardown and action job
I find it slightly troublesome in the manner of a Ruger MK but doable. Just breath and stay calm. I'm half left and half right handed. That helps sometimes and others, hurts.
I usually try to hold the trigger back with my left thumb, left forefinger on the hammer spur. I use my right hand to steer and forward the lower tang. My variable is the pin that holds the hammer on. I fumble with it some but usually a tiny dab of cold bearing grease holds it in place.
Yes, I have to do it at least once more after my whirlwind slick and stock job I did on my oldie.
Yes, I'll likely take a shot at the gate. Never messed with it before. It and the guides (that need nothing yet I can tell) are the only items I left as is.

Gas,
If your gun is NOT flipping a round out the top sometimes, and it feeds the longest OAL that you use. Then dont mess with the guides, they are doing what they ought to do.

Re: M92 teardown and action job
It's not doing that and I haven't seen any need to mess with them.
I was just stating I fooled around with pretty much everything else.

Re: M92 teardown and action job
quick update... one of the things i did was to paint the front of the mag follower a florescent green so it would stand out when checking the gun for rounds in the mag. that didn't work out well at all. the paint chipped off quickly and i had to wash all the bits out and re-lube the action. all better now, but i wouldn't recommend painting the mag follower.

Good ideas in theory don't always work out practically.
