Titanium Ranch Hand
Titanium Ranch Hand
Yeah, well real titanium would be nice but here is the closest I could get. The gun came loose from the saddle last year and ended up with a nasty ding on the barrel. While it gave it "character" I just couldn't live with it so I tore it into pieces, media blasted it, and coated it with cerakote titanium and sniper grey. It looks like a dull stainless and at least it's about as rust proof as I could make it. I had already done action work and smoothed out all the rough spots but the cerakote smoothed it out even more. This action now is as good if not better than lever guns costing 100's more. Modifications include the stainless follower, safety plug, lighter spring kit etc. from stevesgunz.com.
