I also look at it as carving up new jeans for the look. It's rad and chicks are gonna dig it.

So, you wear dark blue/black, stiff as cardboard jeans, and let them age as they go? I can see that. I usually buy stone washed, acid washed, whatever worn.... half way there.

As a bit of an aside, I walked into Gator Gun, wanted to shoot the new .44 Rossi. They have two indoor "rifle" lanes that are long enough to at least check sights, more or less. The guy at the counter (a washed out/drummed out ex-cop) insisted on seeing, then "examining" (dry firing after I told him not to as well....), and who then informed me that my rifle was not safe to shoot because of its age and split stocks, blah blah, insurance, blah blah, liability, blah blah (ad nauseum). He didn't want to hear about the aging process, so I left. Not that the jerk's opinion meant too much to me, but, the look was good enough to at least fool a fool, which ain't saying much, but that's all I can report.

I put a fence around the garden today, and had my eye on the wood pile the whole time. No groundhogs, though.

Picked this up yesterday to perform a Test & Evaluation for Rossi USA. Will be posting the results on https://1895gunner.com later next week. Was happy to see that out of the R92 owners on this forum that 21% preferred or owned a .45 Colt version!
