Of Abrasive to match up with the factory finish on my Model 92 ?

Mine is nearly polished on the sides. I wouldn't think anything more coarse than a very fine auto paper would come close to matching that finish but overdoing it could get you a shiny surface in a hurry. Might be better to have the whole thing soda or bead blasted to a matte finish.

Best way would be use a green scrubbing pad. Works really well on all stainless touch ups I've done

Years ago I polished a S&W SS Kit gun with Flitz Polish. It made it look like nickel plated
