Which shape 240 gr .430 feeds well from Missouri Bullets in the R92?

Both the .430 240 gr TCFP and .430 240 gr RNFP will feed well. However, make certain your bore isn't even slightly oversized. If it is these bullets will not shoot close to accurately. I'm a big fan of MBC, but I've tried both in my Browning B-92 (which is oversize) and they keyhole. My rifle requires .432 bullets which MBC currently doesn't offer.

Thanks for that. I did purchase some 240 gr TCFPs .430s (HI0Teck coated) and tried them with 10gr of Unique. At 50 yards, they seems to be cutting holes. I mic'ed them and the bullets were coming out to .4315. Therefore, I think I may be good to go.

I wanted to try some of the 44 Elmer's which is where my question originated. I'm not sure if the SWCs will feed from the tube.

Some will and some wont and some take a lot of fiddling with overall length and will work-in a very narrow range.

Make smoke,

No problems at all with .43 diameter 240 Grain SWC (.44 Elmer Keith) from Missouri Bullet Co.

it depends on the nose length and the rifle.
the 429421 will feed in my stainless rifle, but I had to do a little grinding on the cartridge stop, and work the handle pretty briskly for it to be 100% smooth.
if I get a bit lazy they try to hitch up a little,, I could trim my cases about .005 and live a happy easy life, but I have about 5-K 44 mag cases and I got other bullet molds....[shrug]

The Keith semi wadcutter feeds fine with 44 special in my CBC 92. I am going to cast some in .432 just to compare accuracy with .430. Though the later size works fine for plinking.

Matt's Bullets will size to .432" upon request, and I've been extremely happy with their bullets.

Keep in mind that Rossi makes the .44 carbine barrels to SAAMI .44 mag rifle specs, which are larger than .44 mag handgun.

To follow-up to my initial post, I purchase the MB 240 gr TCFP HiTek bullets in .430. With 10 gr of Unique, they're running around 1300 fps out of my 20" R92 stainless. Unfortunately, they are keyholing at 50 yards which tells me I need to go up in bullet diameter. Short of slugging the barrel, what diameter bullet is working for your 92 .44 mag?

Best bet is to use a dead soft fishing weight to slug the barrel.
