Rossi 44 mag 24" stamped Amadeo Rossi?

Post by trekker »

Hi Fellas, looking to pic up a used 44 as above. Its a pre-safety, 24" blued octagonal and at this stage the only other information I have is its stamped ''Amadeo Rossi'on the top tang. Wondering if that is enough info to give a clue of where it might fit into the general Rossi timeline? 80's, 90's, etc? Trying to get an idea of what quality of that era was like. Gun is listed as VGC and I'll get more info tomorrow from the online seller

Likely late 80's to early '90's. I have a 20" in .357.

Yep, same here. I have the 24" in 45 colt with the same inscription. Early 90's from what I can gather due to who imported it. I thought the workmanship was above average and it shoots dead nutz on to boot.

I bought one in 2012, via Germany(I am in Greenland), Stamped Armadeo Rossi, no Safety, and should be new, from the Factory
According to my dealer, they had been delivered, for a Gun Show, a year earlier.
But it might have been stored at the German Distributor, for a long time.
Got it, at a VERY good price.
Happy Shooting from Greenland
