Greetings from a New Member. Just took possession of my brand new Rossi 92 chambered in 45 Colt. My question is about the carrier. the top of mine is flat as a flight deck, but all the ones I've seen on Youtube seem to have a "groove" for the cartridge machined into them ? So, should mine have a flat top to the carrier or some sort of "groove" for the cartridge to nestle in ? Thanks for your thoughts and what a great resource this forum is.

I have a Browning B-92 in .44 magnum and a Chiappa 1892 in .44/40. Both are flat. My Rossi R92 in .357 is dished.
