Good morning, i am new to the Rossi family. i just purchased a 92 in 454 Casull and was wondering if I can shoot 45 Colt in it? I realize that they have different OAL.

I too have the 454 and have shot many 45 colt rounds through it. As a side, there is no question which round gets fired if you have both in the tube... It is one of the advantages of have the 454 rather than just the 45 Colt flavor.

If you shoot a bunch of 45 Colt, make sure you clean the gun well, the 45 Colts are just a little shorter and can leave a carbon ring of build-up.

when i load 45LC in mine it tries to load 2 rounds and locks it down. Not sure where to start.

You might check the OAL of your 45 Colt loads. I know with the 357/38spl if the 38s are short you get feeding problems.

Check your cartridge stop, spring etc..
Feed problems from the lifter to the chamber are typically OAL or issues with the chamber mouth or cartridge guides.
Double feed means the mag is slipping two rounds at a time onto the lifter.

If the spring is installed incorrectly or if there's a burr on the joining parts it can cause problems.

Thanks for the info. i am going to try a DIY action job. When i get it apart i will inspect all parts. Been searching Youtube for disassembly videos, any helpful hints would be appreciated.

$15-20 for the magazine spring follower.
$9 for the ejector spring.

Leaves ~$28-$33 for the video.
The video quality is a bit low resolution compared to YouTube but the instructions are IMO much less likely to land you in trouble than the average Youtube tinkerer who doesn't know when to quite.

Everyone has a different budget, and that's totally fine. But I disagree; Steve's DVD has more information and detail than the YouTube offerings currently out there. Also, anything on YouTube is subject to disappear without notice.

$30-50 for that kind of knowledge & experience is totally worth it to me. Heck, if the information saves me even one hour of my time or one botched part that needs to be replaced, then it has more than paid for itself. Plus there's the quality of doing the work well.

To be fair, I've also watched every YouTube video I could find about the Rossi. I think they compliment rather than compete with each other.
