Well , guys, i made up some dummy rounds for my mountain bread rossi 92 stainless steel 357 with 16 inch barrel!
I cycled the rounds many times and the dang rifle worked flawless! No hang ups, smooth as glass!
I have not fired the gun yet, the fit and finish are superb! The action smooth as silk! Trigger pull at 3 pounds!
I have done nothing to this gun! I have not even taken it apart to lub it yet!
This is a 2019 2020 manufactured gun.
I could not be any happier!
I was so worried about many review's i read about rough actions, jamming actions , ect
My gun is perfect! And much cheaper than the expensive boys!
Cant wait yo snap some live caps!
My new rossi 92 357 !

Re: My new rossi 92 357 !
I m planning a target shooting trip soon.
I did make some dummy rounds and the rifle mag holds 9 plus 1 in chamber
The rifle cycled flawlessly!
I checked trigger pull, its 3.75 pounds or 60 oz pull
I think for being an untouched from factory condition, thats not so bad.
I will disassemble and smooth up action, maybe shim under trigger spring about .020 then recheck trigger pull.
Up above i said trigger pull was 3 pounds, but that was me estimating , dang i was pretty close!
Anybody,have any thoughts on this?

Range report coming soon!
These Rossi's are addictive!
I purchased a marlin 444 45 years ago! I still have it! Looks like new ! Shot about 4000 rds through it over the years. It now suffers from the dreaded marlin jam!
I need to silver solder the carrier fill in the groove that was caused by the lever, then polish the sharp edge off the lever edge,so it wont dig into the carrier anymore.

Reading your retirement post, I suspect that you are going to be able to handle the repair!
