I loosened the magazine cap screw, applied blue Loctite and re-installed it not quite 1/4 turn past contact with the barrel. Once the loctite set, I fired a few shots offhand at 100 yards. The zero is back where it belongs. It was definitely the magazine cap screw being over-tightened by yours truly.
