I thought it was a 24", but from this pic where he bought it off of armslist, looks like a 20".rondog wrote:Was that a Short Rifle to start with? Sure looks like one.

I wish i had a better view of the mag plug installation.
I cant see the mag plug screw that passes through the plug and threads into the barrel.

I think I almost agree with Gas Guzzler on this one.
The wood is beautiful. The work appears to be well done but I'm not so sure I like the end result.
IF you are going to go to the trouble of fluting to drop some weight, then why only do the exposed barrel area. (I'm not so certain I like the idea of fluting on the flats but it is probably still well within safety margins. I've got a couple three or four fluted barrels myself mostly on ARs but they were designed that way not after the fact.)
The crescent buttplate isn't for everyone but .357 out of a carbine or rifle rarely kicks enough that it isn't 'a pleasure to shoot' without bothering with a rubber recoil pad.
There are times I like Parkerizing and times I don't much care for it.
