I can't help you with your question, but I Iike the rifle you're showing us. What is that protrusion next to the medallion? Is that where a saddle ring would be attached? Best wishes from Nelson.

Heh. I've just seen this rifle on a NZ website. I like the look of it. Good luck.

It's a previously blued rifle that's been "aged".

Yes, saddle ring removed for hunting mainly. Yes its on a trade site.

The thing is I have never seen a Rossi Puma in stainless, so unusual.
I have no info on the early Rossi's that came into New Zealand and the records are hard to find.!
What information is limited of what arrived here, its in the old paper work not digital! So no one wants to spend hours turning pages for me.

Yes, I thought the same, but he tells me it's Stainless, and I have no way of seeing it, other than the pictures.
I am sort of with you at this stage on it.

You can tell by looking at the finish near the pins and where the contours change. I have "de-blued" and polished a lot of parts.

yes just around the hammer area, the polish just didn't look stainless enough and someone has asked about it as well.
Still it's on a trade site being sold as a stainless puma.
Someone will ask another question, I would think.
