I have for 5 years preyed on this site for useful info on the '92 after having purchased a carbine in .357 .
Thanks for all your input , ideas and fixes.
My '92 ran flawlessly from the beginning . .38's or .357 no problem.
I started reloading 4000 rounds ago and have been using brass , star and s&b.
I have slowly but surely been having feed problems from the cartridge guides gripping the cases as the projectile hits the inner top side of the chamber.
Having had no previous problems I assumed parts were wearing or getting gummed up.
Plenty of stripping n cleaning , polishing chamber , spring changes etc etc as one does. I am a professional tinkerer.
Having little luck I tried changing OAL etc etc.
Finally fixed the problem after weeks of tinkering -
My brass has over many reloads been roughened by the ejector scratching/burring the cartridge base rim.
This was causing the guides to grab the rim and restrict the smooth chambering .
Hope this helps resolves some issues for Rossi '92'ers .
