Re: The new self-made rear sight
He was last on here on the 13th of October. If he is not setup to receive email notifications of a PM he would not know that he had one until he came back. No emails have kicked back as well. He is a regular, try the email again.

Re: The new self-made rear sight
Now I have the first experience of elk hunting with my rear sight (Rossi 92 .454 Casull, 20" barrel). The elk was shot from the distance about 98 yards. The bullet (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/165745 ... tal-jacket) hit the right back leg, punched the elk on the diagonal and went out next to the left foreleg.
Shooting was very comfortable.

Re: The new self-made rear sight
Unfortunately, no photo. The hunting took place 400 km to the north from Moscow. Very nice place for hunting! This spring there was shot the ELK with 13 shoots of horns on the left side and 10 on the right. For one day I personally saw 4 elks. The price for 1 license is about $1100 .

Very interesting! You are the first forum member that has claimed a elk with a R92, well done!

Re: The new self-made rear sight
Last year I took part in some competitions (silhouette shooting) with my Rossi (.454 Casull).
I should say, the shooting is much easier and comfortable with my rear site.
Even one of my friends on the range could hit the 8" metal plate (100 m distance) only one or two times from five shots with standart rear site, but with my - 5 times from 5 shots.
