Does anybody know where I can get a rifle buttstock and buttplatefor a Rossi 92? I have a carbine, but wantthe rifle stock with the crescent butt plate.

Precision Gun Works. They don’t have buttplates, but say you can rework a Winchester to fit.

I read that on their web sight. Wonder if it we ould be easier to just rework a winchester stock.

I misread. If you want the longer LOP (rifle) buttstock, then you need the Rossi buttplate. That could be a tough search, I dunno.

Adapting a Winchester buttstock could be a lot of work, and it could end up being carbine length by the time you’re done whittling.

I'm new here, and new to Rossi 92s as well. Overall, I am quite happy with my carbine. From what I have read here so far, it seems Rossi is pretty stingy about selling parts of any kind. Does anyone know why?

I've got a Winchester 92 short rifle and a couple Rossi 92 rifles. I'll take a look at em and post some pics of the butt plates if anyone is interested..
