My Rossi RS22 Question Thread

Post by BassCliff »

Hello!

I hope I'm in the right place. I'm brand new to this forum with a brand new Rossi RS22.

I was hoping this was the place to ask questions and get information about this little plinker. If not, can you point me in the right direction?

Hi!

My first question: Is there a recommended, popular sight upgrade package for this rifle?

I really like the adjustable fiber optic sights on this little guy but I know they will get munched eventually, especially once I start teaching my granddaughters to shoot. ;)

Will any sling that fits be OK?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :)

It's the most common question asked here. Might click around a few other topics and see what members have done.

Yeah, yeah. Rookie mistake. Sorry. I'm generally good with the search function, guess I got too excited. ;)

Here's a question I did search for, and I know this turns my cheap $100 rifle into a cheap $200 rifle. :P

If anyone has tried these, did you derive enough fun units to justify a stock and magazine upgrade for this rifle?

Folding stock:

25 round magazine:

Thanks for putting up with me.

Just so I can add some info to this thread, if it should come up in somebody else's search, it's been brought to my attention that Tech Sights makes a pretty good replacement for the stock sights. They cost about 3/4 of what I paid for this little rifle, but it's all fun, right? ;)

Pretty soon this cheap $100 plinker will be a cheap $275 plinker.

If broken, the more cost-effective route would be to replace the stock sights with OEM parts, about $20 from the Rossi parts store. ;)
