Picked up a new Colt Python 4.25" this morning.

This is my first Colt , it won't be my last.

A colt python is never in the wrong forum.
It can go where ever it wants.

It sure is a solid well built gun. My buddy is a colt guy. He's got a couple of their ARs and a 1911. I never really saw the $$ in them. Don't get me wrong, they're beautiful well built guns, but this one...oh my!! The trigger is so smooth.

I had a chance to pre-order one of the 6" ones from Turner's back when they were first coming out with the new ones. Reviews at that time indicated Colt didn't quite have their act together on that initial production run. I haven't really pursued one since then. I noticed Turner's was running a bit of a sale on them recently but although the sale listed 4" or 6" they really only had the 4" ones. I've got an older 4" blued one. I tend to prefer the 6" barreled revolvers even thought the 4" ones can be a bit more versatile.

I did pick up one of the new 2" Cobras and a 3" King Cobra.
The King Cobra is excellent.
The Cobra is ok.

I'd still like to get one of the new Pythons as well as a new Anaconda.

I really like the Colt grips. Python, Trooper. A lot nicer than the Smith & Wesson ones IMO.

I'm looking at the 4" king cobra or the S&W 586 6"... I do think that it will be next year before I buy another gun. The wife is pressuring me to throw money at the house.
