94 on gunbroker

Post by Mad Trapper »

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/789964119

I bought a 94 last year, identical to this one on gunbroker, 1956, unfired, blue 100%, LGS had it listed for 900.
they know me well and said 825.00 so i bought it .
KY sales tax is 6% so it was $875.00 out the door.
I wondered if i paid too much.
Looks like i did OK.

You got a deal. I'd love to find an old one for a decent price but it seems like they have really gone up. I'm in California, I'm sure our new %@*&$ governor will ban semi auto rifles first and start looking at semi auto handguns next. My money is going towards lever guns and SA revolvers

Same here, I prefer a lever and single action over anything else.
I can keep a look out for the old levers if you want.
I was in a LGS about 4 years ago, they had an original 45-70 springfield trapdoor cavalry model in almost excellent condition, 600.00
family that brought it in said it had been in the family for 80 years, but they needed money bad.
Last time i was in i asked if they still had it, they said a retired FBI agent bought it.
Man that was a heavy carbine, those cavalry soldiers had to be strong to handle one of those.

This is mine with a ruger blackhawk 30 carbine.

I matched it up with a 30 carbine because i have a cartridge adapter that allows me to shoot 30 carbine out of the 94.
And i can use the same bullet in both cartridges, up to 150 GR. bullet.
