Hello from Austria!

Post by Trooper Six »

Hello Riflemen!

I'm 48 years old and I live with my family in Alkoven, a small town in upper austria near the city of Linz.

I am following this forum since a long time. It is very informative and I've learned a lot.

Last week I sold my first lever action. A Chiappa Alaskan 1892 16inch. It was a smooth going rifle, but i wasn't realy happy with it. It felt for me as if the butt of the rifle was too long.

I had always been looking for a rossi, but I was a bit anxious about quality issues. Yesterday I got the chance to take a look at a 3 month old M92, stainless, 20 inch....wow. I could not believe what I have read before. That thing was smoother than the Chiappa! What can I say.....I took my money and bought it.

Thanks to your forum I know how to outfit it!!!

I already put an order in at RLO Custom Leather for a NO DRILL HARNESSED STOCK COVER COMBO and a lever wrap.

Tomorrow the rifle goes to my gun smith. I've ordered a Marble Arms bullseye sight and a fiber optic frontpost. I am wearing glasses now and i had the chance to try a rifle with this sights and i find it fantastic.

Okay. Thats for now. I will send fotos when the rifle is ready.

Have a nice sunday.

Hello.

It's 357. More location options for me to shoot. Ammo is easier to acquire and cheaper than the other ammo options.... except .22. By the way I think I will also acquire a .22 Rio Bravo in the Future....

I am not planing for going hunting. By the way it would not be permitted to hunt with this rifle. The hunting law in Austria says, the terminal energy of the projectile has to be 2000 joule at 100m. That would not be possible with the 357.

It's for recreational / fun shooting.....and in the event for SHTF

A fine choice for those applications. Turning money into noise!
