Hello from North Texas

Post by Point452 »

I’m an inactive Marine, an old art teacher, and an assistant principal. I’ve owned four Rossi 92s, all were great! I enjoy hunting with my 92 set up with a scout scope and chambered in 45 Colt. I’m a bit of a bullet nerd; I’ve been hand loading for 30 years, and I still have all my firearms, fingers, and both eyes! I love the outdoors, Hiking, camping, kayaking, and especially walking in the woods- hunting feral hogs.

Welcome. What part of Texas? Some of your pics look like terrain that is common in my area north of DFW, south of the Red River...

I live in the Lewisville area, but do most of my hunting in Young County, out by Loving, TX.

I grew up in Highland Village and graduated from Edward S Marcus.

I’m actually in HV. My mom taught at Marcus until 2000, and I work at Briarhill.

I thought I sent a PM regarding some overlapping history. My parents sold my childhood home to Dr. Rogers, Superintendent LISD when they moved out of HV in 1998. I remember when Briarhill was built as I attended HVE. Highland Shores did not exist when we moved to HV in 1980. PM me your mom's name if you'd like...probably recognize her or maybe even had a class with her.
